Battle Snakes

Battlesnake is a multi-player programming game where teams build virtual snakes to face off in a tournament style arena. This tournament connected me with other RBC students, as well as hands on experience with languages such as Python.

RBC T&O Case Study

Tasked with solving a real world problem that RBC faces, specifically in the Tech and Operations sector. Worked in a team of 6 to create a practical solution that can be adopted, allowing for centralization and optimization while mainting compliance and reducing risks.

Stock Ticker

The game consists of both the buy side and the sell side, where each team convinces people on the buy side to invest in the stock being presented.
Each team chooses a stock that fits under a given theme each round (ie. industry, geography, technology), with a total of 4 rounds. Every time someone chooses to invest in a team's stock, each member receives commision, which is added to their return on investment to determine a winner.

Ticker 1 - MSFT

Theme: Oligopoly
My Role: Investment Thesis

Analyzed factors that drove MSFT's updside. Analyzed Microsoft's market share, sectors and streams of revenue, historical data as well as stock charts.

Here are some key points:

• Microsoft is a dominant force in every industry they operate in
• Microsoft and Open AI partnership secures it's place in the future of AI and tech
• Integrate AI into its cloud AI infrastrucutre to prevent commoditization
• Q3 FY 2023 results shows significant growth, especially for intelligent cloud - immediate effects of the Open AI partnership
• Historical data shows stability as well as profitability and stock chart shows an uptrend
• Golden cross (50 and 200 day MA) as well as historical trends have a strong bullish outlook

Analyzed potential risks in investing in SBUX and how the company have taken steps to reduce said risks via charts, historical events and statistics.

Here are some key points:

• Starbucks international expansion has failed before
• Investor confidence is not always high
• Starbucks stock has dipped to a low in recent years

Researched Super Micro Computer's company background, operations and stock. Analyzed SMCI's partnerships with other companies as well as it's position in the tech industry. charts.

Here are some key points:

• SMCI is a global leader in storage systems, computing hardware and more
• 5x growth and $2B revenue in the past 6 years
• Have partnerships with NVIDIA, Tesla, IBM, Red Hat and other industry leaders
• Manufactures AI infastructure
• Companies rely on SMCI's data centers and technology
• Streamlined production and application-optimized solutions
• Takes proactive measures to ensure environmentally friendly operations

RBC Building Digital Literacy Summer Camp

As a group lead, I helped students ranging from grades 6-8 learn how to code. The camp taught the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and allowed a hands-on experience by encorporating engaging projects.

RBC Canadian Open

What an incredible experience! I volunteered as a marshal at the 2023 RBC Canadian Open where I dedicated 32+ hours over a four day period to ensuring the safety and timely execution of the tournament. Stationed at hole 12, working both the tee box and the green it was critical to ensure proper communication with my peers to safely close off areas and settle the crowd when the players were present. Overall, it was a blast to watch the pros play (and occasionally dodge a stray ball during the pro-am tournament). Watching Nick Taylor's 72 feet eagle putt for the win in person was an electric feeling as the crowd at the RBC Open is unlike any other.
